Hosting, storage and backups
This policy supplements the “Information System” Annex of the historical Terms of Service.
1. Hosting
RDMC may provide hosting services:
- shared;
- web;
- dedicated;
- physical;
- virtual;
- cloud storage.
Configurations, locations and capacities are defined in the Purchase Order.
2. Third-party providers
Where RDMC distributes or integrates a third-party service, the provider’s terms may apply. They are available on request. RDMC remains the Customer’s contractual counterpart within the limits set out in the Contract.
3. Monitoring
Monitoring may cover:
- performance;
- availability;
- backup status;
- alert escalation;
- server intervention.
Stated timelines are intervention objectives, not restoration commitments, unless a contrary SLA applies.
4. Backups
Available measures may include:
- rotation policy;
- retention;
- redundancy;
- secondary hosting;
- encryption of flows and backups;
- log retention;
- access to backups.
5. Storage
Offers may rely on block, file or object storage, with:
- replication;
- encryption;
- quotas;
- storage classes;
- retention periods defined in the Purchase Order.
6. System maintenance
Maintenance may cover:
- security updates;
- system hardening;
- keeping systems in operational condition;
- non-regression checks;
- vulnerability remediation.
7. Reversibility
The following terms are specified in the Purchase Order or in a reversibility plan:
- return;
- formats;
- timelines;
- costs;
- transfers;
- assistance;
- deletion of residual copies.
